What is Shan Koe Mee?
Shan Koe Mee is a traditional card game that has been played across generations in Myanmar. Using 3 cards, the game is very popular among Myanmar players because of its straightforward rules and fast decision-making.
The goal is to add up the values of your 3 cards and try to score higher than the dealer. Numbers run from 1 to 9, with 9 being the highest. When the total of 3 cards is a two-digit number, only the last digit is used. A result of 9 is considered the best hand.
On the 589slot platform you can play Shan Koe Mee directly, and a Live Table format is also available where you play in real time with other players from Myanmar. This article will walk you through how to play Shan Koe Mee step by step.
Game Rules Explained
In Shan Koe Mee, the dealer deals 3 cards each to the player and the dealer. Whoever has the higher number wins. The total of the 3 cards is calculated, and if it is a two-digit number, only the last digit is taken.
Card Values
Cards from A to 9 are worth their face value, 1 through 9. Cards 10, J, Q, and K are all worth 0 (zero). So J+Q+K = 0+0+0 = 0.
How to Calculate Your Score
Add up your 3 cards and take only the last digit of the total. For example: 4+7+5 = 16 → 6. The player with 9, or the highest score, wins.
Special Hands
In Shan Koe Mee, when all 3 cards have the same value, it is called a "Set" and beats the dealer automatically. A Set is the highest hand in this game and pays a special bonus.
How to Place Bets
Players must choose and set their bet amount before the game starts. On the 589slot platform, you can deposit and start playing from a minimum of 20,000 Ks.
How to Play with a Live Dealer
You can play against a live dealer at a Live Table. With HD cameras, you can see the cards and the dealer in real time, and interact with other players instantly.

Gameplay Strategies and Tips
Shan Koe Mee is a game that combines luck and skill. Using the right strategy can increase your enjoyment and make your sessions run more smoothly.
Budget Management
Set a spending limit before you start playing. If you lose a round, take a break instead of jumping straight back in. Playing in a balanced way leads to a better overall experience.
Reading Hands
Players need to understand their 3-card hand quickly and make decisions fast. Practicing the counting method well means you can play with more confidence at a Live Table.
Set Hands and High Cards
When a Set hand (3 cards of the same value) appears, it beats the dealer and pays a special bonus. Note that you don't need to play non-stop to hit those hands — play with patience.
Know When to Stop on a Bad Run
If you keep losing in a row, stop playing immediately and do not keep putting in more money. Decide to come back later and play with your own comfort in mind.
